Surrey Transform IT – a project aimed at developing the capacity of tutors and trained intermediaries to use the latest technology, web and broadcasting to bring new approaches to learning in the community. In total 40 tutors were trained in the use of modern technology and new media in the delivery of informal adult learning. Eighty-nine voluntary and community sector organisations and community sector workers took part in half day courses in the use of social networking sites. Over 300 learners took part in modern technology and Internet courses and a web portal was created.
