The Story Museum led a project to promote storytelling skills among families in an area of deprivation. During four courses run at three local schools, parents and carers of children in Blackbird Leys, Oxford, researched and created storytelling resources including an online story bank (http://www.storymuseum.org.uk/1001stories/), story map books and hopscotch floor cards. Learners reported an increase in their thinking and speaking skills, as well as increased confidence.
