This project worked to engage carers in informal learning activities to support their health and wellbeing. Many carers seldom find time for themselves or take part in fun activities. Staffordshire County Council worked with carers’ associations and delivered 170 courses to 224 learners across 37 venues across the county including many libraries. They also ran two learning residential trips. Learning encompassed a range of activities including ICT, digital photography, family history, arts and crafts, and cultural activities based in museums. A group of learners have since started their own community learning group.
