The overall aim of the project was to promote equality and diversity awareness and citizenship. There were three activities: 1) The project developed and trialled racial awareness training to informal adult learning tutors to equip them to deal with, challenge and discuss racism that may emerge in adult learning provision. 2) The project delivered taster days, to local people focusing on cultural arts and crafts, the history of slavery, and similar activities. 3) The project ran a racial awareness conference for tutors and other interested parties.
