The Shared Stage project resulted from a partnership between Shaping Voices and other charity and local authority organisations within East Sussex. The purpose of the project was to encourage and enable older local residents to learn new skills such as creative writing, IT, music technology and website design. Learners participated in flexible and responsive workshops, training sessions and creative arts groups, and were then involved in the development and design of the Shared Stage website. Many of the learners are also now involved in sustaining the website, which features shared creative outputs.
