Through Raymond Williams Foundation (RWF) and pub discussion circle links, the project aimed to research and map what was going on in informal discussion circles. Then, in partnership with the WEA and the Adult Residential Colleges Association (ARCA) and other relevant groups, the project organised an experience-sharing and training weekend. In addition there were other day and residential courses, including a day school on citizenship and democracy, which involved progression from the totally informal to professionally taught adult learning courses.
