Pass it On County Durham aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of isolated rural communities through informal adult learning. Pioneering Care Partnership worked with local library services, children’s centres and community centres to deliver a series of twelve 6 week courses based around healthy cooking. 150 learners from disadvantaged areas took part, gaining new skills and enjoying reduced social isolation. 200 recipe books were produced and distributed to partners and participants.
