This project offered practical learning workshops at a historic working paper mill, using vacant premises. Courses included basic ICT skills, arts and crafts courses including life drawing and card-making, digital photography, marketable textiles, bookbinding, family history and beginners’ calligraphy. 64% of learners were older learners (over 50). The project sought to develop learners’ skills, including employability skills. It resulted in several self organized learning groups.
