Free Craft Workshops for adults aged 19 and over

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 - 16:37

Adults aged 19 and over are being offered a range of free craft workshops - including Silk Painting, Sewing, Tile Mosaics and Easter Craft with Recycled Materials - by the Plymouth Play Association, available until the end of March 2010.

The craft sessions are part of the C-Changes project - funded by the Learning Revolution Transformation Fund - which runs a host of different activities at a range of locations around Plymouth. Many of the activities are taking place in areas of deprivation where large numbers of adults have not attended non-compulsory education and where achievement levels are low.

Fiona Horrell, Project Manager of C-Changes said:

We hope that this project will be the start of a wave of free informal learning opportunities for adults across the city.

Fiona Horrell, Project Manager of C-Changes said

"This is a flagship project that Plymouth is really proud about. To have 18 partners from around the city working together to offer free exciting, innovative and inspiring learning opportunities, is truly fantastic.

All activities undertaken to date have been exceptionally well received and well attended. The project has enabled individuals to undertake some learning that they may not have been able to access beforehand. We hope that this project will be the start of a wave of free informal learning opportunities for adults across the city."
