Interface Learning - New Routes International Men's workshop
Interface Learning
Interface Learning, a charitable organisation that promotes community cohesion, led this project that aimed to build links between men from black and minority ethnic groups by offering informal skills workshops. 42 men from a range of refugee and migrant communities took part, many with disabilities and most with language needs. The workshops provided access to computers, conversational English sessions that boosted understanding of UK systems, and one to one support with CVs, application forms and volunteering opportunities. The training provided allowed participants to gain evidence of work experience in the UK. Referral systems between partner agencies were improved in order to help participants access more learning and work opportunities.
