‘Learn IT’ was a project led by First Contact Training that aimed to provide a network of informal learning centres within residential care homes and day care centres for the elderly. Learners participated in digital learning activities in order to encourage the development of skills to develop, plan and implement learner-led projects and activities and to promote progression to further learning (through guidance and counselling). The project enabled learners to communicate with friends/ family, to explore the Internet and ultimately to become digitally included.
