C-Changes

City College Plymouth
Led by City College Plymouth, ‘C-Change’ brings together a range of 19 partners in Plymouth to provide a range of informal learning opportunities for adults aged 19+, in a variety of venues across the city. Subjects included local history, writing for the stage, art based activities, sports, cooking, DIY, theatre workshops and outdoor activities. The project targeted under-represented groups such as carers/parents of pre-school children, volunteers, older learners, fathers, refugee/ migrant groups, homeless individuals and those in community housing, partners of new citizens, people on benefits, individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, disabled people, those in residential care and the unemployed. The project developed a new and effective informal learning infrastructure for the city, resulting in a more comprehensive engagement with a range of learners. The project also increased both learning opportunities and the numbers of learners, enabled progression and IAG, and increased learner self-esteem, confidence and aspirations.
