This project used performing arts to encourage learners to focus on a chosen topic/issue and create a performance using a series of techniques and exercises. Over a four week period learners worked with a professional teaching artist and devised a small showcase or presentation which was presented in the final session. The groups were taught basic performance and theatre skills as well as designing, writing and directing. Learners performed their final showcase/celebration to an invited audience from their communities sharing their chosen topic and skills with those around them.
