Partnership between Grow@CPP and Age Concern Somerset delivered a project to engage older learners in accessible outdoor activities. Two sets of 10 week courses in bush craft and survival were delivered to 110 older learners, helping to develop self-confidence, personal responsibility and an enjoyment of physical activity. The project particularly aimed to engage men, a traditionally under-represented group in adult learning, with 61% of participants being male and 39% female.
